Muscat
A single day is definitely not enough to experience Muscat and all it has to offer. Those who fly in for a short trip will get a glimpse of Oman and a promise of the wonders that await beyond the capital’s borders.
The city’s coastline is guarded by mountains that were forged at the bottom of the ocean millions of years ago. Over centuries, man have made their mark by buildings forts, dotted across the hillsides of Old Muscat and Muttrah.
Thanks to its geographic position and natural horseshoe-shaped harbour, Muscat has welcomed traders and merchants to its shores for hundreds of years. It was, and remains, a meeting place for many cultures and nationalities.
